Kendall Wanderers fall narrowly in USASA Werner Fricker Open Cup semifinals

Kendall Wanderers’ run in the USASA Werner Fricker Open Cup came to an end on Sunday, May 15, with a 2-1 loss on the road to FC Motown of New Jersey. Kendall were 1-0 up at the break, thanks to a Robbie Sabadoz goal, but FC Motown equalized with a penalty early in the second half. With the game in the balance, both teams had good chances to get the winner but, unfortunately for Kendall, it was FC Motown who got the decisive third goal to progress to the Region 1 final despite Kendall coming very close to a late equalizer. Kendall defeated FSA Inter of Connecticut 1-0 in the quarterfinals. Congratulations to the Kendall players and staff from all of Mass Soccer, on making the long trip to Parsippany, NJ and representing our state proud!
