March 28, 2021:  Safira defeated OTHSL D1 North Champions Riverwalk FC in an exciting state final.

Riverwalk scored early in the match (7 minutes in) on a direct kick artfully placed in the far corner on a free kick outside the 18. Seen here: Goal #23 Luigi Mirisola.

In a very evenly match game, the score remained 1-0 in favor of Riverwalk well into the second half, due in part by great defending and goal tending from both teams.

In the 57' Safira equalized on this goal from #44 Carlos De Araujo.

The game remained tied until the 87' when Safira's Ellison Martins scored the game winning goal.  An exciting finish to cap off our inaugural O40 State Cup!

Safira will represent Massachusetts in USASA Region I quarterfinal on May 2nd when they travel to play the winner of SC Eintracht (ENY) v Fairfield GAC (CT).
