OTHSL: Safira & Lynfield Azzuri undefeated in O30 D1, Peabody Sporting Club, Concord United Masters & Crafty Veterans lead way in O40 divisions

Mass Soccer's Over the Hill Soccer League (OTHSL) continues to provide players 30 years old and above the opportunity to play the game they love in a competitive setting. with 46 leagues in the O30, O40, O50, O56 and O63 formats, there is an abundance of competitive soccer every weekend in northern, central and southern Massachusetts. The 2018 season is only 4 weeks in but several story lines are beginning to unfold:

  • O30 Division 1: Safira Soccer and Lynnfield Azzuri remain undefeated in O30 D1 North with 3-0-1 and 2-0-2 records respectively. Safira are the 2017 D1 champions and preseason favorites to to win the league again. Lynnfield however, are newly promoted and making an early statement as championship contenders. The O30 D1 South division sees GPS Massachusetts and Borussia USA joint leaders with 2-1-1 records. The two clubs meet on May 20th at 8:30am at Marlboro Fore Kicks.
  • O30 Division 2: Andover United are a perfect 3-0-0 to start the season having defeated Boston White Eagles, PAC Lowell and Peabody Sporting Club. They face second place Eastern FC on May 6th 10am at Bedford High School. In O30 D2 South Fernandes FC are perfect as well with 4 wins from 4 games. They've netter 11 goals for while only allowing 5 against.
  • O40 Division 1: Peabody Sporting Club (3-0-1), Concord United Masters (3-0-1) and Crafty Veterans (3-0-0) top the O40 D1 North, Central and South divisions respectively. Crafty Veterans have an impressive 17 goals scored and 2 goals against 4 weeks into the 2018 Spring campaign. 
  • O50 Division 1: Stoneham Spartans and North Shore Celtic FC are level at the top of the O50 D1 North standings with 3 wins and 1 loss this season. North Shore Celtic FC actually fell in their first game of the season to Stoneham Spartans 3-1. SSC Napoli, who have played 1 less game than Stoneham and North Shore Celtic have yet to lose a game with a 2-0-1 record. They most recently defeated Stoneham 2-0 on April 22. The O50 D1 North division is shaping up to be very competitive. In the south, Concord United have defeated Kel Kau, Cambridge Internationals and GPS Black Rhinos while also drawing Belmont Old Boys to rise to the top of the standings with a 3-0-1 record. Medfield Old Boys are close behind with a 3-1-0 record after four weeks.
  • O56 Division 1: The Lexington Bald Eagles are currently in first place in the O56 D1 North division with 3 wins and a tie. They've beaten Juventus Club Everett, Northshore Seadogs and Arlington Pond Dawgz along the way. In the South, the Raynham Veterans are a perfect 3-0-0 to start the season but sit in 2nd place behind GPS Gold FC, who have played 1 more game and boast a better goal difference of +6 versus Raynham's +5.
  • O63 Division 1: Raynham and Nashua Carcara have both yet to drop points in the Over 63 Division 1 Central division. Raynham are 3-0-0 while Nashua are 2-0-0. The two sides will meet on May 13th 8:30am at Borden Colony Complex.
