Safira defeats Middlesex in Amateur Cup Quarterfinals
November 9, 2019: Middlesex hosted Safira in the 2019 Amateur Cup Qualifying Quarterfinals on a cold and brisk November evening under the lights at Almont Park.
Safira scored first but Middlesex answered to equalize. However, on foul in the box, Safira was awarded a PK and converted to go up 2-1 in the first half.
In the second half, Safira's Geovane added a 3rd goal. Middlesex had some opportunities and continued to pressure Safira, but after adding a 4th goal this one went in the books as 4-1 victory for Safira.
Safira will advance to the semifinal round next weekend and will face Broadway Gunners. Game time and location to be announced soon.
