2021 MENGEL REGION1 QUATERFINALS: NY GREEK vs BATTERY PARK
With the back drop of a city skyline behind the field, the Battery Park Gunners took on the NY Greek Americans on their home field in New York City. The game was a quarterfinal for the USASA Region 1 Mengel Cup.
The game was well fought, back and forth between both teams with great opportunities on both sides of the field. The score was 0-0 at half time, with neither team giving in. It was not until the closing minutes that the NY Greek Americans were able to break through and score. When the final whistle blew, the score was 1-0 to the home team, the New York Greek Americans advancing to the USASA Region 1 Mengel Cup semifinals.
